The strange phenomena of having more than one head is known by the Greek word "polycephalys'. Though often associated with fictional mythological beasts such as the Cerberus or Hydra, having more than one head is a biological reality.
More commonly found are two headed animals, or what are more specifically known as 'Bicephalous' animals. Two heads can be developed by a fusion of embryos in the womb making conjoined twins at birth.
Though no evidence of bicephalic dinosaurs have been found, paleontologists have discovered a dinosaur era reptile fossil with two heads. This extremely rare fossil increases the possibility of a two headed dinosaur existing during their 170 million year reign.
