Did you know the femur of a typical Brachiosaurus measured over 6 in length? Named for its exceptional size, Brachiosaurus notable features include its long neck and small skull, typical of sauropods, their family, but its proportions are what truly make it unique. They are thought to be grazers, specifically of the high leaves. It is estimated that they could feed from vegetation as high as 30 feet off the ground. Brachiosaurus are comparably rare to other sauropods, and there are few specimens available from which to establish their anatomy and habits, but this exciting puzzle will help your young paleontologist learn about what we do know!
The puzzle measures 10 inches tall with hand-painted detachable parts. It includes a display stand. While scientists don't believe Brachiosaurus would be effective on its hind legs, your new friend, when mounted, is posed in a dynamic action pose.
Finished size is approximately 11" tall.
